Creative Voice Workshop: Imagination and Improvisation with Misha Penton

This interactive workshop explores vocal improvisation as a creative and embodied art form. Through guided exercises, collaborative sound-making, movement, text generation, and imaginative exploration, participants will discover new pathways for expression while developing listening skills, creative confidence, and spontaneity. Participants will create original solo and ensemble material, culminating in an informal sharing of newly devised work. Open to singers, actors, dancers who sound, interdisciplinary artists, adventurous beginners, and instrumentalists interested in participating fully in the workshop’s vocal, movement, and ensemble-based activities. Participants with formal vocal training are welcome, but no previous improvisation experience is necessary. Curiosity and a willingness to explore are the only prerequisites.

Accessibility: The workshop welcomes participants with a range of abilities and artistic backgrounds, and exercises may be adapted as needed.
